Making my logo for my magazine

First off I got a clipart picture of a red guitar, and added it to a 300 by 300 pixels square to fit onto my magazine into the top left corner.

I have then selected the red body of the guitar and i have decided to paint the guitar black, as this is the typical colour that people picture of a guitar.
Afterwards I removed the white back ground of the image, and made a copy of the layer, so that I could make them reflect and make them point into opposite sides of each other.
I then added a picture of the "rock horns", i have added this as this is the symbol of rock and roll, I then removed the white background and brought it forwards.
I then added a picture of a flame for the background of the image. I then had to duplicate it so that it is symmetrical.

Front cover edited part 1

with the front cover o have changed around some of the text, and i have added a issue number and price. I have mainly worked on trying to make it more of a conventional magazine cover, i have added a banner across the bottom, and i would like to take more pictures for the front cover, and have one main image, and have other pictures overlapping also. I will be making a logo of the magazine also and will be adding to it later when i have finished other tasks.

contents page edited part 1

For my contents page I have changed my page number again to make it easier to read, and as suggested I have added a editors notes as well, also I have added social media as well, as the audience i have aimed my magazine to (16 - 25) will use a lot of social media, and will make them want to buy it as they know they can contact them through social media.  I have again added the name of my magazine in as well with the title 'contents page' so that it will stick in the readers heads.

Double page spread edited part 1

I have change my double page spread, i have tried to make the text easier to read, by changing the font, and also the colour, and i have also changed the colour and size of the text of the page number, to try and make that also easier to read, and also i have added the title of my magazine above the interview title, so that the reader will always see the title of the magazine throughout, and try and make them remember the name. I have added some shapes around the text, i have seen this doe inside of a kerrang magazine, and i am basing my magazine around kerrang as they have similar bands, and also similar to my target audience.

My audience research

From my audience research I have received many comments about the pictures, the text on the double page spread, and about how the magazine is very basic. I will need to fix the text on the double page spread to make it easier to read, i will change the font, and colour and maybe even the font size, i will need to take more pictures, and use musical props to show that the magazine is a music magazine. Also i will need to add more complex stuff into the magazine, for example editing the text, adding a logo, and editing the pictures also. I will be keeping in the bar code, and also the quotes from the interview, but also adding a issue number and making the page numbers easier to view also.

Review

Here are some of the reviews these individuals has left me on my front page, double page spread and contents page. I will be taking these comments on board and will be editing my magazine around these comments.
